It takes a huge amount of bravery to look at oneself and acknowledge a need for personal change. There are few things more worth the journey. Counseling services are available to anyone, although we specialize in providing therapeutic services to children aged 12 and up, teens, and families.

Whether you are struggling to connect with a teenager, enduring life transitions or just wanting to better connect, Becoming Brave will meet your family where they are to create change and connection.

Survivor Support

“Trauma creates change you don’t choose. Healing is about creating the change you do choose.” -Michelle Rosenthall

We have practiced with survivors of cancer, burn, medical trauma, human trafficking, and domestic abuse. Interventions focus on addressing common emotional responses to these challenges, including grief and loss, struggles with identity, anger, anxiety, depression, and others. In working with any survivor, we work with the individual to find ways to reclaim what has been lost and reframe traumatic events. Becoming Brave also works with individuals to process and find strategies to cope with the life-long impact that can result from such traumas. This may involve addressing impacts such as altered relationships, negative body image, infertility, or general quality of life.
